Sticking to your Goals for 2013

January is almost finished, how far have you reached in achieving your goals? These  goals you have chosen NEEDS to be conquered. You owe it to yourself!

Sometimes life can get in the way, but digging deep and doing your best will give you strength and overcome any obstacles that block your path. With that being said, it is important that you continue chasing your set goals; it’ll give your life purpose and have something exciting to look forward to in the future, and it helps with motivating yourself to turn that vision into reality.

Below is a list of ways to help you achieve your goals:

1. Anticipate- Think ahead.

Be conscious to identify obstacles that may show up and derail you from achieving your goal; plan for it. Have an action plan for obstacles because they will definitely be there. Don’t just plan goals make sure you plan for obstacles too. Behind your achievements is a stack of hurdles. How will you jump over them?

2. If you fall, get up and learn from it

Failure is perception! If something doesn’t work out but you learn a lesson from it you’re a Winner. How you handle the situation always counts. Always learn from your mistakes and do not repeat them!

3. Seek Motivation

It’s natural to conform with what your comfortable with. However, realize nothing grows within your comfort zone. If something inspires or motivates you remember what that was and always recall to that moment. Then think about the benefits you will have and how you will feel once you have accomplished that goal. The only way to continue to be motivated is to continuously seek motivation.

4. Be Adaptable

Make sure you are willing to adapt to change, as it is apart of life. If change comes to you in a manner that isn’t easy to deal with or isn’t in the manner you would prefer, don’t become despaired, or get frustrated, accept the change and make it apart of your plan.

You really messed up this year! …………..Bad!

Well of course I don’t know how YOUR year really went but I wanted to share 5 BIG mistakes I have seen people gone through in 2012. As I develop (fancy way of saying aging) I am much more interested in understanding others behavior and motives. I critically observed others (especially my clients) this year and these were the most common mistakes they went through. Some may have not even known they did it. So I am sharing with you MY OBSERVATION and if it applies to you hopefully you can make some adjustments for 2013.

5 BIG Mistakes You did this Year

1. Busy being Busy:

You were far busier than productive. I said it! You were too busy being busy that you didn’t get much done. Did all your work convert to to steps closer to your dreams, helping others or getting you towards financial freedom? If you were burnt out constantly and still didn’t feel any award from your labor you were busy being busy. Being busy means converting your labor, sweat, dedication into VALUE and/or ACCOMPLISHMENTS.

2. You continued to keep the wrong people around you.

You continued to keep the wrong people around you. These people were not in line with your life objectives. You just wanted to fit in by hanging with the cool ones. Show me your 5 closest peers (2 is usually enough) and I will have a solid understanding of who you are! You should’ve cut ties with people that slowed you down but you chose to stick around and this resulted in you not getting further ahead this year.

3. You treated all stress equally

You didn’t learn to control stress. You led it consume your entire brain energy that all the RIGHT things that were going on in your life had no weight or value in your brain. Letting small things that are going wrong completely take all your brain energy. This usually tells others that you do not have the tools to control stress. Next time 1 thing is wrong SCREAM out all the other things that are going RIGHT for you. It will really put everything back into perspective.

4. You didn’t cherish moments.

If you didn’t read my ebook “How to be Laser focused” then you wouldn’t have known the top 5 regrets of the dying. I highly suggest you go get the ebook and be enlighten! Moreover, one of the most biggest mistakes/regrets of the dying is they wished they enjoyed the golden moments, they wished they stayed in touch with good friends. You should’ve allowed the beautiful things into your spirit/heart/soul. Do it next time! it will really give you a sense of fulfillment and purpose. We are going to be on this planet for a short time make sure you enjoy the great moments you create or comes to you.

5. You didn’t visualize

You did not create a mental gym in your mind. A gym in your brain were dreams, goals, and ideas are sparked! You didn’t enter this space and therefore you never practiced. Top athletes and successful people on this earth all adopted this concept. Practicing in your mind can really bring all your concepts/ideas into fruition if your actions also compliments it.

How to become a better You

Here is some few tips on how to become a better you almost instantly.

 

1. Ask someone if you could help them with something.

2. Write daily to-do tasks

3. Exercise

4. Go out of your way to do kind things (being genuine and not looking to be praised)

5. Learn new things everyday and recap these new information at the end of the day.

6. Be open to feedback

7. Reflect and create memories do not let the face pace life miss the opportunity to seize the moments.

Be Firm with your Dreams..

Your may cross people who have giving up on their goals and naturally have this tendency to knock others down. You need to be firm with your dreams and goals. This starts by being your best supporter. You must be your best cheerleader. Once you start talking negative to yourself, you eventually will believe these thoughts. You are your thoughts and why waste it with negative words when it will only bring you down. Once you are firm with yourself it will be easier to no let any other people talk you out of your dreams. Be firm. Promise to believe.
