DO YOU KNOW YOUR TRUE SELF?

We think we know ourselves but do we really? It’s time to evaluate your true-self today!

If we were to ask you questions regarding your friends, you could probably answer them in an instant. However, we aren’t so good with questions about ourselves. Do you know yourself as a person? Sadly, millions of people can’t answer this question because they have been focusing on the ‘what’ rather than the ‘who’. As a prime example of this, we were asked as children ‘what’ we wanted to be when we grew up rather than ‘who’.

If you do one thing this year, find your true self because it can be a rewarding and self-fulfilling process. Today, we have seven things you should be discovering in the time ahead. Once you complete these, you can become the person you want to be.

Value targetValues – First and foremost, your personal values are perhaps most important because they explain your opinions and even your actions. What are your beliefs and do you know exactly why these factors are important for you? Over time, you should also learn just how committed you are to these beliefs and they begin to form your opinions and help to make important decisions.

Passions – If we were to ask you to list ten things you enjoy doing, we could almost guarantee that most of the activities would be with friends. Although this is great, we want you to spend some time alone and find out what you really enjoy. What activities capture your whole attention and imagination? Of course, we are all unique so this is likely to be different to everyone else you know.strengths iwontlose

Strengths – Along with your passions, you can also find your strengths and where your natural abilities lay. In all likelihood, you have different strengths to everyone else around you so there is no point acting like somebody else. Instead, you can find your own strengths and be your own person.

Limitations – On the flip side, we all have limitations and things that, no matter how hard we try, we just cannot get right. For some reason, we beat ourselves up for this but even the people you admire most have things at which they cannot excel; there is nobody in the world that can do everything well. As long as you know this, you can focus your energy on your strengths instead.

Tendencies – In truth, we all have tendencies whether it is to jump into ideas head first or procrastinate for a period of days and weeks. If you recognize your tendencies, you can better analyze your personality whilst pinpointing areas that could be improved. Eventually, you will know how these tendencies contribute or harm your strengths and limitations.

Goals – As mentioned at the beginning, who do you want to be when you grow older? Even if you think you’re ‘old’ now, who do you want to be in five, ten, or twenty years’ time? Remember, all goals need to be SMART; specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and time-related.

directionDirection – Finally, where is your direction in life and where is your true self-going to direct you in the coming years? As soon as you understand the first six factors, the direction will take care of itself. Often, we spend too long focusing on the destination when the journey itself is the most important factor. Once you choose a direction that represents YOUR happiness, you can be confident that you will enjoy the life that unfolds before you!

Seeking Success When progress is Slow

Often, we talk about how to be successful but what happens when this success is slow in the making?

When this happens, we look for ways to speed it up because we just want to see results immediately. In truth, this is because we tend to focus all our attentions on the end result rather than the process of getting there. Suddenly, we want overnight success, but these are unrealistic expectations.

success progress

Journaling and Meditation – When we strive towards success, there will be small achievements as well as little disappointments along the way. Over time, this requires integrity, stamina, and courage if you are to keep going. Sadly, we seem to focus on what isn’t working rather than what is, and this leads to constant disappointment and demotivation.

Instead, you should be looking to change your mindset to focus on what is working. To do this, we have two simple tips – meditation and journaling. With the latter, you can start each day by noting something or someone you’re grateful for and this will help to focus and realize how lucky you are. If you have many things for which you are grateful, it shows that you are definitely doing something right.

As mentioned, we also like mediation. At times, it gets a poor reputation, but this is only because people don’t take the time to learn what it’s all about. Essentially, the aim of meditation is to remove all judgments and thoughts because this allows the unconscious mind to take over. In this state, you can focus on your goals, enable your creative side, and ensure that you’re on the right path.

Take Action – If success is a little slow so far, you need to question the action you have been taking. In many cases, people believe that they are acting when, in truth, there is a lot more they could be doing. If you have been holding back, ask yourself why this is the case. If you decide that this is definitely the path you desire, take some risks, get out of your comfort zone, and propel yourself forward to reach your goals. Every day, write a list of tasks that will move you forward. If you don’t do them, you need accountability so tell your friends and phone them at the end of the day. As soon as you get used to doing this every day, you will be making progress.

Be Patient – Sometimes, success takes hard work; it takes determination; it requires risks and tremendous leaps of faith. Other times, it just requires a little patience. As long as you are doing all you can and you aren’t ending days or weeks with regret, you know that it will come in good time. If you originally wanted overnight success, this patience will be tough, but it will be worth it in the end.

Conclusion – Success is an interesting thing; above all else, it is subjective. What does success mean? For you, it may mean reaching the top of your industry and being a well-known figure. For others, it means having the financial security to support their family. As soon as you find your definition of success, you need to work hard, focus on what is working, and practice patience. Once you master this, success is just a matter of time.

4 steps to help you invest in yourself the right way!

This is how you Invest in Yourself in Four Easy Steps

Nowadays, we hear ‘invest’ and various other similar terms constantly. So much so, the word is automatically linked to employees and more efficient techniques within manufacturing, and everything business-related. However, there is one place that the term is rarely used – on ourselves. At some point, we all reach a stage where we just need to invest in ourselves, but it can be hard knowing where to start.Today, we have four easy steps that you can complete to invest in yourself for a brighter future.

Create a List – To start, you have to sit yourself down with a pen and paper and write down all the goals you want to achieve. Whether they are huge life ambitions or small targets you have in life. For example, you might want to write a book, reach a certain weight, learn how to play an instrument, learn a second language, or anything that requires skills developed over time. Although this might sound crazy at first, we want you to write down 30+ things. Don’t worry you won’t be able to stop once you get going.

When writing, keep them in three categories where one you need skills to complete, one you can do immediately, and the last you need a little time to complete. By doing this, you are finding your true desires as long as you remember to take your time and take breaks.

Create a Chart – As you can see, this is all about letting your creative juices flow with hopes that your mind will do the same. Here, we want you to be honest about your skills. At first, this will not feel natural, but it will be a good experience to learn what skills we have and what skills we lack. In order to achieve some of the goals on your list, you may need to learn some new skills, and there is nothing wrong with this. Here, try and utilize a chart or table of some sort including what research you need to do for the skills, what courses may help you, etc. At the end of it all, you should be left with columns for research, action, and then progress.

Take Action – Hopefully, you will feel motivated at this point, and you will want to get started on your list. As soon as you get that first tick on the table, you will feel great, and the motivation should then keep coming. If you followed our tips in the first step, you should have some goals that can be done straight away so get a couple of these ticked off as soon as possible. Once the ticks keep coming, the list will become less intimidating by the day. If you leave the chart with no ticks whatsoever, it will look daunting, and you will eventually give up.

Don’t Forget Long-Term Goals – Whenever you get some spare time, you can then start working towards the goals that will take a little longer. Over time, try to remove procrastination and work on your list if you have nothing better to do. As long as you do this, and remember to keep ticking the short-term goals, you will keep making progress.

There we have it, four fantastic steps to achieve 30+ goals and continually invest in yourself for years to come. If your list changes, this is absolutely fine. Also, even just four ticks a year is fine because this means 25 years of successful progression!

Self Growth

Accelerating Your Self-Growth

<a href=Life is strange; it is amazing that we even exist, but it can also be the hardest thing we do. As we start to build success and money in our career, it is surprising how often we forget about ourselves. As we grow, we have this fantastic opportunity to discover ourselves and progress, but we don’t utilize it. For this reason, we have compiled a short list of superb tips to accelerate self-growth.

Stubbornness is Fine – When we hear the word ‘stubborn,’ we instantly think of it as a negative word, but this doesn’t have to be the case. When it comes to your dreams and aspirations, it is perfectly fine to be stubborn and stand up for yourself. Develop an obsessed mindset, and you will achieve a lot and accelerate self-growth.

Tomorrow is a Gift – Just like today, tomorrow is never promised, so you need to make the most of each day as it comes. As they say, ‘treat each day as your last,’ and you will make more progress than ever before.

Have Niche Qualities – Sometimes, we push ourselves too far in our journey to be great at everything when this is something that is nearly impossible. When we even attempt it, we are pulling our focus in too many different directions, and we end up failing at nearly everything. Instead, just pick a few of your most passionate goals and aim at working on them consistently. As long as it contributes to health, love, wealth, and happiness, it is well worth your effort.

Watch Others – Remember, there have been people that have followed the exact same path as you before. As soon as you realize that the people who have already completed the journey have left information behind, you will have advice for every step of the way. If possible, contact leaders in your field and ask them for help because they have been where you are, and they know the challenges you face.

Knowledge and Action – If you are to progress, you need to find the right balance between knowledge and action. According to a recent report, there are 130 billion books in existence which presents a lot of knowledge. Sometimes, you just need to take action because this is something that is lacking in the world.

Habits are Key – When we start new habits, many people give up because they don’t believe that they will have the willpower to force it forever. However, this isn’t necessary because it is believed that only 66 days of willpower are required until something becomes a habit.

Time is Valuable – Finally, you should never take advantage of time because we can never get it back. Instead of complaining, worrying, and regretting always maintains a positive attitude and never let something bother you now that you won’t remember a year down the line.

If you are experiencing success in your career but leaving your personal life behind, these are some great steps to take. Let’s make the most of every day and appreciate the sanctity of life!

Here’s how to Pull Through in Tough Situations

We all need a reminder on what to do when tough situations arise..

In life, there is going to be tough times. Whether you are currently going through something right now or are trying to prepare if something was to happen, shit will happen. However, there is something we can control – how we react. Ultimately, the key is often not to let the tough times get the better of you. Of course, the key question is – how do we do that?

Accept that people make mistakes – When you think of tricky times you have been through before, it is likely to bring back anxiety and sadness. With this in mind, it means that you’re still attached and affected by some ideal. At first, it can be hard to notice this, but you have to if you want to move forward. If a family member hurt you, this still hurts because they aren’t supposed to do this (in theory). To progress, you have to notice this and then let it go. How? By realizing that every human makes mistakes and that, even though it hurts, it has to be accepted.

Be overly Grateful – Secondly, you must always find something to be grateful for in every single moment. When life kicks us to the ground, it can be hard to be grateful, but this is a powerful technique if you can master it correctly. How? Above all else, you have to live in the present because this is the only way you can recognize what’s in front of you. As soon as you do this, you can accept reality and make the best of a bad situation.

Judge much less – If you continue to judge something or someone, there is no way you will ever move on. If you still hold onto blame (even towards yourself), you have to let go of this judgment otherwise, the pain will stay with you for years to come. Even if you aren’t pleased with what happened, you can still relieve yourself of the burden by letting go of judgments. If you manage to do this, it doesn’t mean that you support what happened but rather you want to release the negativity and accept it to then move on.

tough-situations

Attend to others – Finally, place your focus on someone else rather than thinking you are the center of the universe. By doing this, you are getting out of the ‘how does it affect me’ mindset. Once we have someone to focus on, we stop feeling sorry for ourselves and realize that we were over-worrying about something that isn’t important. Again, this will lead to a removal of negativity and will allow you to accept and move on.

As mentioned at the beginning, it is all about how we react and how we pick ourselves up from the ground. By following these simple tips, you will be putting yourself in the best possible position for happiness.

7 TIPS TO WELCOMING HAPPINESS TO YOUR LIFE

TRY THESE 7 TIPS TO RECLAIMING YOUR HAPPINESS

LIVE NOW! Self-betterment is not the path that should be taken in finding out our authenticity, but a dive into the heart of now. It happens to be that new choices can only be made in the present moment. All we need is the moment, for it is only in the present moment that we can acquire responsibilities for our emotional history and experience of life. Taking emotional responsibilities can be done by being present in the moment and help in dodging the dangers of blame and denial.

<a href=

ELIMINATE FALSE BELIEFS! False beliefs keep us stuck in life-constricting situations and prevent us from playing that great role in a production of our own. To get free from such subtle beliefs, we need to locate them and realize that, they are mere lies, although they have controlled our reactions for a long while. Reality and truth cannot be withstood by beliefs born of fear.

HEART x SOUL! The direct bridge to the Divine is our soul, and it is expressed in the heart. The abiding way to the heart of a genuine mystery is our soul. It is through the heart our soul communicates with all of the creation, and this expression is seen as love. The love in our soul that flows directly from the heart—not romantic love—is what allows us to gain the greatest form of human possibility by authentical living.

PATIENCE! A flash of illumination isn’t how self-awareness generally comes; instead, patience is required, for it does not speed that matters but the assimilation of wisdom. The road to self-awareness is not smooth and straight forward; it is a fluid progression of levels that carries an individual forward at a pace that is most exciting to them. What we must do is to individually experience the lessons for progress to take place, instead of understanding each stage individually.

TALK TRUTH!! The heart is the origin of honest communication, where the tree of infinite wisdom grows. Learning to openly show who we are and how we feel, regardless of the audience, in particular, is key. If we vibrantly express ourselves, the value of our own authenticity will be discovered. Entailed with the fearless articulation of the spirit is this authentic self-expression of the divine at our core.

STOP FIXING WHAT IS NOT BROKEN! Accepting ourselves, along with everything and everyone in the Magical Theatre, is the key to unlocking awareness. Unlike passive resignation, acceptance is an act that gives us the ability to easily and with love, set ourselves free from attachment to event situations or outcomes. The ongoing approval means getting rid of the armor of defiance and believing in the intelligence of the Divine Mystery.

TAP INTO YOUR IMAGINATION! What is real? People in magical theaters tend to be more focused in setting emotional and physical standards that don’t work for everyone. The reality is everyone lives life and operates in a unique and somewhat indecipherable way. Knowing that what goes on in our minds and the emotions we feel sets the foundation of a static reality that can be of help for a lifetime is important.

Realize Your Potential

6 actions to remember to tap into your FULL POTENTIAL

Before we start, think back to your teen years and early twenties about what you wanted to achieve. Have you achieved any of these dreams? Sadly, this answer to is likely to be ‘no’ because we find it all too easy to settle and think small. However, you are going to learn some tips today that will flip this around so you start thinking big and realizing you’re potential.

Be Brave – When we were children, we used to fill our lives with imaginative stories but where did this go? Somewhere along the way, we lost this ability because we choose to ignore it. Instead, let out your inner creativity and it might just lead you down a new exciting path.

Consider the Alternative – How do you think you will feel in ten year’s time if you’re still doing the same thing because you didn’t think big? If you feel happy with that thought, you may have achieved your dreams. If not, it is time to use this as your motivation. As the saying goes, we regret the actions we didn’t take as opposed to the ones we did.

Your Idea is Viable – With recent advancements in technology, your dream is closer than it has ever been before. Granted, even 30 years ago your idea may have struggled but with infinite resources, you can make it happen. There is no better place to start than today so why not do a little research and get the ball rolling?

Take Risks – Our comfort zone is great because it is the place we find life easy but this doesn’t lead to progression. If you want to achieve your dreams, you have to get used to stepping out of your comfort zone. As long as you are motivated and believe in your ability, you have the tools to succeed.

Think Big – Instead of thinking of good ideas every now and then, get into the habit of thinking up big ideas every single day. Even if you just spend a few minutes at a desk thinking up ideas, you will see progress. Once you decide on a plan, spend those few minutes elaborating and improving. Just a few minutes a day is better than nothing at all.

Listen to Emotions – As we grow older, we listen to our emotions less and less while preferring to look at the negative side of things. As a result, you have to get used to listening to your emotions once more so when you get a positive feeling; you act on it. It is all too easy to become robotic but deciding to be different and go through with ideas that truly excite you.

If you follow these six simple tips, the difference can be quite amazing. Life is a journey that has to be planned by ourselves and if we don’t, we settle for something we have never wanted. Why not be in the unique few who follow through with their dreams and live happily?

Trusting the Process

‘It’s ok to not have the answer yet, continue your journey and trust the process’

This is a quote that should be said and listened to far more often than it is nowadays; we all want to find success whether it is in our personal lives, in our career, in a sports team, in absolutely anything and everything that we do. However, no matter how close we get, we tend to make the mistake of choosing the quickest journey to get there.

Sport is a fantastic place to witness this because it is experienced every single year all around the world; for example, basketball teams that go 3-1 up in the play-offs. For some reason, once they go one game away from winning the series, they start to play differently because they are looking for the quickest route of success. This was seen just recently as the Warriors came from 3-1 down to win the series 4-3 and go through to the finals. How did they do this? They trusted their ability, they trusted their preparation and they trusted the process.

WARRIORS-iwontlose-process

This should be taken advantage of every single day and used to get exactly what you want in your personal life as well as your career. If you have a goal for your career and you get close, don’t suddenly chase the quickest route of reaching your goal, trust the process and continue with what you have been doing. This process is clearly working so why would you risk changing it? Ultimately, it may take a bit longer but as long as you have the faith, it will happen.

Life is tough; there is always going to be somebody waiting around the corner ready to trip you up, there is always going to be a pitfall for you to get hurt by. As long as you put your trust in the process, you will be staying safe from these setbacks. This does require a certain personality and it can be hard to get used to because from the outside, it may look as though you aren’t making any progress but you will know that you are doing the right thing. Others will get frustrated and will become impatient which simply leads to failure.

This isn’t just a method that ‘could work’ or that ‘has potential’, this is proven and can help in a number of different areas of your life. People use this every single day whether they are trying to maintain a personal relationship, climb the proverbial ladder in their career, or even trying to lose weight when on a diet.

trust the process

As mentioned, this will not be easy. It may take daily reminders but in the long run, you can chase your dreams whilst believing in yourself, remaining focused and trusting the pr

It’s all about your values | iwontlose.com

It’s all about your values

valuesIt is often said that it is how we react to hard times that defines us and this is an important thing to remember at every point throughout your life. There is nobody on the face of the earth that hasn’t had to endure some form of difficulty at one time or another, but it is how we react to these hard times that separate us.

Of course, on the one hand, we could let whatever it is get us down and dwell on the problem. However, this will not lead you to anywhere good as you will not be progressing but rather hanging on to the past. One of the best things to do during times of hardship is to reevaluate and strip everything right back down to basics. This is a practice that should be completed even when you are not currently in transition as it can help to put yourself back on the right path which is often, back towards your goal.

Figuring out your values

You should spend some time taking stock of your most important values and then work out a way to which you can revert to these before you stray too far away from who you are. Your values make up a strong part of who you are so it is important to stay close to them otherwise you start drifting away unnaturally. This exercise can bring two main benefits:

  1. You regain your sense of control and a more informed sense of direction.
  2. You can find the answers to questions that have been weighing you down. If we have a big life decision to make, we tend to look around us for the answers, but we would be much better equipped if we started from the inside instead.

Exercise

value

Here, we have a little exercise that sums up the message written here and allows you to realize key values when we need them most.

  • Start by writing two different lists; one will be a list of values that you find important in general, and the other will be values that relate to your work life. If you need a little help, the internet is full of lists explaining the most common values.
  • Once you have this list, you are going to grab two sheets of paper and choose your favorite ten for each.
  • Even though you have ten strong values, you now need to cut this in half and choose five values that you are absolute, undeniably passionate about.
  • Next to each of these five values, write how you think you live within these values and describe any situations where you went against them.
  • If you managed to think of some ways you went against your values, flip the page and write down how you will fix this.
  • You now have your goals for the coming months.

Values are vital as they are unique, and they are part of the make-up of a person. You will very rarely find two people that have the same combination of values, and this is why exercises like this can be so important during hard times. Make sure you remember your values so you can go on to achieve whatever it is your desire!

BECOMING WHO YOU WANT TO BE

BECOMING WHO YOU WANT TO BE – My 3 Tips

Do you find yourself with a distinct lack of motivation to wake up in the morning? Have you ever looked in the mirror only to ask ‘how did I get here? This wasn’t the plan!’? The fact of the matter is;  your life is in your own hands and if you want to change it, only you have the tools to do so.

<a href=BECOMING WHO YOU WANT TO BE” width=”300″ height=”200″ />

Let’s start this off with a little exercise; where do you see yourself in five years time? It’s as simple as that, look ahead five years and notice what is different from your life now. You can then look ahead to how your life will be in five years if nothing changes. If the two are vastly different, you have to make some changes starting today.

Here are my 3 tips to become the person you want to be:

#1 Start Today – Let that exercise be the motivation to make a change today. If you find yourself in somewhat of a rut, whether it is due to work, relationships, location, or more, try to make it your goal to achieve that vision that you have for yourself in five years time.

start today

It is very easy to feel down after thinking about the plans that you had for your life and then to notice how none of them have been achieved but what good will this do? This still won’t allow you to achieve your goals so instead, feel motivated so that you don’t have the same conversation with yourself another five years down the line.

#2 Create A Vision – You should use the vision you just thought about to create an image of where you want to be in life. Don’t just think ‘I want money’, what do you want money for? Build a life for yourself and maybe even build a standard day for your future life. Try to include as much detail as possible such as sights, smells, where you are living, who you are living with, the tasks you have for the day ahead, etc.

#3 Repeat Daily – It is important not to lose sight of this vision because you have done this before and it has only led you to where you are now. It doesn’t mean you have to think of it every moment of the day but spend a minute or two building your vision and adding to it daily. This way you have a constant reminder of who you want to be and a thriving motivation to get there.

BECOMING WHO YOU WANT TO BE

Ultimately, life can be hard but with a small amount of time each day you can be whoever you want to be. This isn’t the same as dreaming because you will be building a vision of an achievable life. Also, it doesn’t matter if you get five years down the line and you aren’t living that vision; as long as you are still making progress towards it, it could take 7, 10 or even 15 years. The point is, you will get there.
