Improving Your Self-Esteem

Often, we hear about ‘self-esteem’ and how it can be ‘low’ or ‘high’ but what exactly does this mean?

In essence, self-esteem measures the value of which we see ourselves. If we don’t value ourselves or our contribution to the world, we are said to have low self-esteem. If the opposite is true and we are full of confidence, we can have a high self-esteem.

Unfortunately, too many people in this world don’t value themselves, and it can have a detrimental impact on life, career, personal relationships, and more. For this reason, we have three key things that you need to do to turn this around and become a better version of yourself.

Accept Yourself – As soon as you are able to accept yourself for who you are, you can start to judge yourself rather than comparing yourself to the people around you. Regardless of how much effort you put in, there will be some people that you don’t click with but this doesn’t reflect poorly on you; this simply means that you aren’t quite right for each other.

Remember, you are a great fit for many people in this world because there are over seven billion of us. When you find your fit, you will grow while wanting to grow as opposed to being asked to grow.

Give Up – Although this may sound odd, we don’t mean that you should give up entirely, we mean that it is entirely okay to give up some things. For example, give up on trying to make everybody in your life happy, give up on the people who don’t respect you for who you are, give up on people who continue to hold you back while you’re trying to progress.

As children, we are told never to give up, but you have to know that there are certain things that you absolutely have to give up to see progress and improve your self-esteem. Rather than letting bad habits or negative people drag you down, give them up and look towards a better future.

Remember Your Strengths – At all times, you need to remember that you are unique and giving it your best shot at this one chance you have on planet earth. When you do something, it is valuable, and you have unique skills, talents, and abilities that make you who you are. In this world, there are certain things that nobody knows or can do better than you can. If you ever doubt yourself, remember this as well as the fact that failure will also teach you important lessons so sometimes it is ok to make a mistake.

Summary – When you start to do and believe in all of these three things, you will instantly start building the foundations for a brighter future. If you are someone who is known for having low self-esteem, promise today that you will do these things in order to turn it around!

7 TIPS TO WELCOMING HAPPINESS TO YOUR LIFE

TRY THESE 7 TIPS TO RECLAIMING YOUR HAPPINESS

LIVE NOW! Self-betterment is not the path that should be taken in finding out our authenticity, but a dive into the heart of now. It happens to be that new choices can only be made in the present moment. All we need is the moment, for it is only in the present moment that we can acquire responsibilities for our emotional history and experience of life. Taking emotional responsibilities can be done by being present in the moment and help in dodging the dangers of blame and denial.

<a href=

ELIMINATE FALSE BELIEFS! False beliefs keep us stuck in life-constricting situations and prevent us from playing that great role in a production of our own. To get free from such subtle beliefs, we need to locate them and realize that, they are mere lies, although they have controlled our reactions for a long while. Reality and truth cannot be withstood by beliefs born of fear.

HEART x SOUL! The direct bridge to the Divine is our soul, and it is expressed in the heart. The abiding way to the heart of a genuine mystery is our soul. It is through the heart our soul communicates with all of the creation, and this expression is seen as love. The love in our soul that flows directly from the heart—not romantic love—is what allows us to gain the greatest form of human possibility by authentical living.

PATIENCE! A flash of illumination isn’t how self-awareness generally comes; instead, patience is required, for it does not speed that matters but the assimilation of wisdom. The road to self-awareness is not smooth and straight forward; it is a fluid progression of levels that carries an individual forward at a pace that is most exciting to them. What we must do is to individually experience the lessons for progress to take place, instead of understanding each stage individually.

TALK TRUTH!! The heart is the origin of honest communication, where the tree of infinite wisdom grows. Learning to openly show who we are and how we feel, regardless of the audience, in particular, is key. If we vibrantly express ourselves, the value of our own authenticity will be discovered. Entailed with the fearless articulation of the spirit is this authentic self-expression of the divine at our core.

STOP FIXING WHAT IS NOT BROKEN! Accepting ourselves, along with everything and everyone in the Magical Theatre, is the key to unlocking awareness. Unlike passive resignation, acceptance is an act that gives us the ability to easily and with love, set ourselves free from attachment to event situations or outcomes. The ongoing approval means getting rid of the armor of defiance and believing in the intelligence of the Divine Mystery.

TAP INTO YOUR IMAGINATION! What is real? People in magical theaters tend to be more focused in setting emotional and physical standards that don’t work for everyone. The reality is everyone lives life and operates in a unique and somewhat indecipherable way. Knowing that what goes on in our minds and the emotions we feel sets the foundation of a static reality that can be of help for a lifetime is important.

TAKING EVERYTHING PERSONAL PREVENTS SELF-GROWTH!

Don’t take it personal, it’s all personal..

Ever since we were young, we would be told ‘not to take things personally’ but this is one of those things that is easier said than done. No matter how hard we try, we can’t help taking things personally because everything in life can be seen as ‘personal.’ When someone comments on anything about us, it is a comment on a personal level. However, there is one big factor that we forget – perspective.

In truth, perspective is something that we always need to be aware of if we aren’t going to let things get us down. As we go through life, we have a system of set opinions and beliefs, and when we come across someone new, we expect them to be the same (or at least see things from our perspective). However, this doesn’t happen, and it can lead to problems. Because we don’t all have the same vantage point in life, we all offer different perspectives and opinions. If we all had the same viewpoint, life would be boring because everyone would agree with everything you ever said and did.

If we look at your personal life, it is the same because you have a perception of how you look, how you act, how people think you act, and how you compare to others. When someone steps up and tells you something different, it is easy to get offended. However, they have been brought up and have gone through life with the same process as you…but with completely different perceptions.

With this in mind, you have to build a resistance and transform your ego into something more solid. If you let go of your ego and your preconceived beliefs, you will be happier to ‘go with the flow’ and be unaffected by what’s going on around you. When you take something personally, this is feeding your ego and making your perceptions stronger, but it won’t allow you to be free when it really matters. We have all developed an ego-based self-image, and it damages friendships and relationships every single day; to prevent this, you have to let go of your ego and be free.

If you allow yourself to open up to the experiences life has to offer, there is no way that this resistance or fear can influence your decisions. If you decide that not every situation has a person to blame or something to judge, you will be free to move down your path with grace. Why? Because you will be embracing who you are rather than putting up a shield that prevents people from getting close. This brick wall that has been sitting in between you and others will be removed, and there will be nothing to take personally. As soon as you open yourself up, you will find your path in life and decisions suddenly become a lot easier because you are…yourself.

Trusting the Process

‘It’s ok to not have the answer yet, continue your journey and trust the process’

This is a quote that should be said and listened to far more often than it is nowadays; we all want to find success whether it is in our personal lives, in our career, in a sports team, in absolutely anything and everything that we do. However, no matter how close we get, we tend to make the mistake of choosing the quickest journey to get there.

Sport is a fantastic place to witness this because it is experienced every single year all around the world; for example, basketball teams that go 3-1 up in the play-offs. For some reason, once they go one game away from winning the series, they start to play differently because they are looking for the quickest route of success. This was seen just recently as the Warriors came from 3-1 down to win the series 4-3 and go through to the finals. How did they do this? They trusted their ability, they trusted their preparation and they trusted the process.

WARRIORS-iwontlose-process

This should be taken advantage of every single day and used to get exactly what you want in your personal life as well as your career. If you have a goal for your career and you get close, don’t suddenly chase the quickest route of reaching your goal, trust the process and continue with what you have been doing. This process is clearly working so why would you risk changing it? Ultimately, it may take a bit longer but as long as you have the faith, it will happen.

Life is tough; there is always going to be somebody waiting around the corner ready to trip you up, there is always going to be a pitfall for you to get hurt by. As long as you put your trust in the process, you will be staying safe from these setbacks. This does require a certain personality and it can be hard to get used to because from the outside, it may look as though you aren’t making any progress but you will know that you are doing the right thing. Others will get frustrated and will become impatient which simply leads to failure.

This isn’t just a method that ‘could work’ or that ‘has potential’, this is proven and can help in a number of different areas of your life. People use this every single day whether they are trying to maintain a personal relationship, climb the proverbial ladder in their career, or even trying to lose weight when on a diet.

trust the process

As mentioned, this will not be easy. It may take daily reminders but in the long run, you can chase your dreams whilst believing in yourself, remaining focused and trusting the pr

BECOMING WHO YOU WANT TO BE

BECOMING WHO YOU WANT TO BE – My 3 Tips

Do you find yourself with a distinct lack of motivation to wake up in the morning? Have you ever looked in the mirror only to ask ‘how did I get here? This wasn’t the plan!’? The fact of the matter is;  your life is in your own hands and if you want to change it, only you have the tools to do so.

<a href=BECOMING WHO YOU WANT TO BE” width=”300″ height=”200″ />

Let’s start this off with a little exercise; where do you see yourself in five years time? It’s as simple as that, look ahead five years and notice what is different from your life now. You can then look ahead to how your life will be in five years if nothing changes. If the two are vastly different, you have to make some changes starting today.

Here are my 3 tips to become the person you want to be:

#1 Start Today – Let that exercise be the motivation to make a change today. If you find yourself in somewhat of a rut, whether it is due to work, relationships, location, or more, try to make it your goal to achieve that vision that you have for yourself in five years time.

start today

It is very easy to feel down after thinking about the plans that you had for your life and then to notice how none of them have been achieved but what good will this do? This still won’t allow you to achieve your goals so instead, feel motivated so that you don’t have the same conversation with yourself another five years down the line.

#2 Create A Vision – You should use the vision you just thought about to create an image of where you want to be in life. Don’t just think ‘I want money’, what do you want money for? Build a life for yourself and maybe even build a standard day for your future life. Try to include as much detail as possible such as sights, smells, where you are living, who you are living with, the tasks you have for the day ahead, etc.

#3 Repeat Daily – It is important not to lose sight of this vision because you have done this before and it has only led you to where you are now. It doesn’t mean you have to think of it every moment of the day but spend a minute or two building your vision and adding to it daily. This way you have a constant reminder of who you want to be and a thriving motivation to get there.

BECOMING WHO YOU WANT TO BE

Ultimately, life can be hard but with a small amount of time each day you can be whoever you want to be. This isn’t the same as dreaming because you will be building a vision of an achievable life. Also, it doesn’t matter if you get five years down the line and you aren’t living that vision; as long as you are still making progress towards it, it could take 7, 10 or even 15 years. The point is, you will get there.

4 Ways to Stay Truly Motivated

4 Ways to Stay Truly Motivated

Exile Negative Thinking

5 Ways to Stay Truly Motivated

Once you set a target, forget about who you are or where you are from, the number one difficulty you will surely face is yourself. You begin to have negative thoughts on how difficult it is for you to achieve something. It’s important you are not influenced by personal feelings or opinion; however, you should not give unreasonable negative thoughts the chance to lead you. You remain the decider and each time you make a decision, no negative thought should be allowed to interfere.

Stay far away from Naysayers

5 Ways to Stay Truly Motivated

It already seems like a difficult task when you try not to allow your mind interfere in your plans, however, another challenge you can face in your life is a set of people who keeps predicting negatively, they keep telling you why you can’t do this, or why you can’t do that. I call them prophets of doom. These set of people are the same reason behind many idea failures today. These people are poisonous and will try to stop you from reaching your goal. Once you realize they have no positive impact, then you must let go of them and welcome people with positive mindset who can help you achieve your goals.

Be of High Quality

You want to keep doing what you know how to do best, however, instead of pursuing your potential in a straight manner, try to keep learning even though you are good at it. Do things that make you better and over the time make you the best.

Focus on your Reason

5 Ways to Stay Truly Motivated

More often, when you are struggling to achieve a goal, you do that because you have an ultimate goal in mind. You should let this ultimate goal be in the leading position of your mind all the time. The reason you started working in direction to your goal is because of the advantages that follows when you accomplish it. If you keep thinking about it, you remain motivated.

Succeed Even After Failing

To some people, failure can quite literally be the end of the world. They try to lead their lives as close to ‘perfection’ as possible and if something goes wrong, they have failed and they struggle to get over it. To them, it proves that they are human and that things can go wrong but this is something that they don’t like or enjoy.

If you are reading this so far whilst nodding along, you have to realise that this isn’t a healthy way to live. You have to realise that there are certain things in life that you simply cannot control and so things will go wrong from time to time. However, this doesn’t mean that you have some sort of problem that you have to fix. The most important thing about failure is how you deal with it; of course, the easiest thing to do is let it get you down and dwell on how badly you have failed. Although this is the easier method, it definitely isn’t the best one.

success

The best way to deal with failure is to use it as an opportunity to learn; it gives you a chance to learn what you can do to improve so that you can do better the next time. Let’s say you have an interview for your dream job and you fail to get offered the role; you could be down and think ‘it’s all over’ OR you can find out where you went wrong and learn how to improve so you ensure you get the job next time. It is important to find out why you failed; in our example, did you fail because you failed to do enough research on the company? Was it because your resume wasn’t up to scratch? Whatever the reason for your failure, you can then treat it as a stepping stone towards growth to ensure it doesn’t happen again.

This is what’s known as ‘The Art of Failure’; knowing how to deal with failure is seen as an art because it can sometimes teach you more than success. If you want to succeed in life, you have to harness this power because you will be sure to hit some bumps along the way. If you find yourself failing often, see if there is a common denominator for your failure and find out how to fix it. Maybe it is your mindset; do you need to be more confident?

LifetimeStock-190871-L

As soon as you realise that failure can help you to learn and that you have the power to do so, overcoming a problem suddenly isn’t as hard as it seems. Once you breakdown exactly why you failed and work out solutions to this problem, your personal development will improve dramatically as not all people have this skill; you will suddenly set yourself apart from the rest of the crowd. Treat life like a journey and make sure that you take the hard times alongside the good times; if you ever fail at something, pick yourself up, dust yourself off, find out why you failed and improve in that area so you can continue on the road to success.

No Self-Motivation = No Success

By: Kerry Creaswood

A lot of very smart people end up as failures – failures in life, in work, and in relationships. A lot of very smart people are given plenty of opportunities for success and never take advantage of them. A lot of very smart people are born into privilege and yet turn into failures. And a lot of very smart people accumulate degrees and skills and still fail to achieve what we think they would. And what is the common factor in all of these failures? It’s lack of self-motivation.

All of the intelligence and all of the opportunity and all of the book learning is simply for naught if there is no motivation to do anything with them. Here are 10 reasons why self-motivation is the only path to success.

1. Without Self-Motivation, Goals are Not SetSuccessful people set goals and then go after them. Those goals come from within, based upon that person’s passions. If goals are set at all, the non-self-motivated person sets only small temporary ones. Such goals may be to get a job that will pay the bills or to save enough money to take a vacation with a friend. They are small and short-term.

2. Without Self-Motivation, Plans are Not Made

Even if the unmotivated person is able to set a long-term goal, s/he then fails to develop a plan to achieve that goal. The goal just becomes a dream for “someday.” The self-motivated person develops a very specific plan of action, constantly reviews that plan of action, makes modifications when necessary, and stays on that path.

3. Without Self-Motivation, There is No Risk-Taking

Successful people do take risks. In fact, they are driven to take risks, because they know they will stagnate otherwise. Unmotivated people find excuses not to take risks, and those excuses become justification for their stagnation. It’s not the right time; others have tried that and failed; my friends say it’s a stupid idea; my family won’t support me.

4. Without Self-Motivation, There is No Optimism

Optimism is that belief that the future holds promise. It provides energy and enthusiasm. Self-motivated people re optimistic about their futures. Unmotivated people have fear and insecurity about the future. They are therefore willing to stay in their comfort zones where they are safe and don’t have to fear an uncertain future.

5. Without Self-Motivation, There is Blaming Others

The self-motivated person knows that he alone is responsible for his successes and failures. When he meets failure, he is able to reflect on it, identify what he did wrong, and change his behaviors and circumstances so that success is ultimately achieved. The unmotivated person blames others and never has to look within to see what should be changed.

6. Without Self-Motivation, There is No Follow Through

The self-motivated person, once he sets his path toward success, stops talking and starts doing. He is the list-maker who gets up each day with actions in mind. The unmotivated individual develops his path perhaps, but then spins his wheels talking about what he intends to do. No action follows all of that talk.

7. Without Self-Motivation, There is No Self-Confidence

Because the self-motivated has taken action and has met with some successes, no matter how small, he has developed the self-confidence to keep moving forward and take on new and greater challenges. The unmotivated person has not taken action and, therefore, cannot muster up any self-confidence to take on a challenge.

8. Without Self-Motivation, There is no Passion

Passion comes from a deep desire and a love for what one is undertaking and pursuing. Self-motivated people are able to feel passion and that keeps them going through any rough patches, even big ones. The unmotivated individual shuts down as soon as a rough patch is hit, because he doesn’t have that inner passion that will push him through it.

9. Without Self-Motivation, There is no Focus

Unmotivated people are easily distracted. They may begin a project and leave it half-finished. They do the same thing in life. They set a goal, being planning and acting, and then get side-tracked by other events and circumstance. The self-motivated individual never takes his “eye off the ball,” resists distractions, and move forward.

10. Without Self-Motivation, There are Missed Opportunities

Because the self-motivated individual has a passion for what he is doing and the goals he has set, he speaks to them whenever he has the chance, even to strangers. He finds opportunities to connect with other like-minded people; he surrounds himself with other self-motivated individuals. All of this relationship building brings opportunities for partnerships, for funding, for all sorts of support. The unmotivated person doesn’t seek these connections and misses opportunities.

Passion, drive, planning, focus, and steady action – these are the hallmarks of a self-motivated individual. And these are the very things that every successful person will tell us are the keys to success. All of them have their origin and their lives within that larger realm – self-motivation.

3 Self Changes for a Successful 2016

3 Self Chages for a Successful 2016

Do you ever feel like things are holding you back? Holding you back from where you want to be, where you need to be or potentially how you need to grow? There are so many things that we do in life that we potentially forget what we need to remove from our lives to finally grow and just win. The year of 2016 is all bout evolving and excelling growth. Chasing our dreams/goals this year is crucial even if it means removing things from our life that will hold us back from reaching any of it. There are 3 things we can remove from our lives in order to win and gain success, are you ready to give these up in 2016?

3 Self Changes for a Successful 2016

1.Procrastination has to be one of the biggest things a lot of us tend to struggle with. We have all these ideas but don’t ever take the time to write them down but most importantly get started on what you want to become in the future. The longer you wait, the longer it’ll take. Make sure you take some time out of your day even if it’s a quarter of the day, to start your craft and do what you love! Nothing is more irritating than having all these ideas, knowing you could be successful but not starting at all.

2. Negative Energy has to be the second thing on our list to remove in order to win. When we’re around negativity all the time, that doesn’t help us get closer to our craft, but farther. We need to realized a point in our life where we understand that things are not worth losing your dreams and goals and that being around negative energy all the time won’t persuade us to get where we need to be. We need to reach new heights in surrounding ourselves around positivity as hard it could be in a world full of negativity. This will be one of the ways to get going on your craft and WIN.

3. Fear is another factor that stops us from getting where we need to be. We’re so focused on thinking we’re not going to make it that we forget to realize that saying things like we’re not going to make it, then we won’t. If we say things like we are going to make it then we will, it all comes with perseverance and dedication. So many dreams are pushed under the rug because people are too scared to chase what they want because they may fail, but understand that failing comes with success and being greater. You must fail in order to experience the wave of doing good and learning to better yourself in terms of WINNING.

These are ways that can help you win, help you grow, help you stay motivated and rejuvenated for the year of 2016 but not only that, for your life. We need to stop letting things stop us from getting where we need to be and dedicate ourselves to more positive things within the future removing things that stop us from the process. Do you want to win? Or is staying at the same level something you’re okay with for the years to come. We hope you decide to win this year!
